MTM ARCHITEKTUR is developing a concept for the comprehensive refurbishment and energy-efficient upgrading of the façade of the Federal Environment Agency's new laboratory building in Berlin-Marienfelde. The focus is on resource-conserving construction methods, sustainable materials and passive climate strategies to reduce energy requirements. The planning takes into account the special requirements of ongoing laboratory operations and at the same time creates the basis for a later conversion of the building into office space.
The project thus makes a contribution to climate-neutral building management and to safeguarding architectural quality in the long term.
